A prayer for your week

Hi Woman of God

As we step into this new week, I wanted to reach out and share a heartfelt desire that’s been on my mind - the desire to pray for all of us as we navigate the days ahead.

This morning, during our community prayer call, we focused on asking God for wisdom: wisdom to guide us through our day, to help us make the right decisions, and to back those decisions with the right actions. This is a prayer I hold close to my heart every day, and today it made me reflect on just how many decisions we actually make.

Did you know that the average adult makes around 33,000 to 35,000 decisions each day? This includes everything from what time we wake up, what we eat, how we respond to challenges, what we choose to focus on, and how we engage with others. These decisions range from the seemingly mundane to the incredibly significant, and the sheer number can feel overwhelming!

This realisation reminds me how vital it is to ask God for His wisdom and His guidance in the big and small decisions alike. No matter the magnitude, each choice shapes our day and, ultimately, our lives. How important it is then to rely on God's grace to help us navigate them all according to His perfect will!

I’d love to pray for us concerning this:

Dear Heavenly Father,
We come to You at the start of this new week with grateful hearts. We acknowledge that we are constantly making decisions, and we ask for Your wisdom to guide us. Help us to lean not on our own understanding but to trust in You with every choice we make, big or small. Give us clarity and discernment, Lord, to know what is right in Your sight. May our decisions align with Your will and bring glory to Your name. We ask for Your grace to cover us, Your strength to uphold us, and Your peace to surround us. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
