The Proverbs 31 Woman Challenge Day Three: How to ACTUALLY take care of yourself spiritually, mentally and physically
Hi, Woman of God
Welcome to Day 3 of the 5 day Proverbs 31 Woman Challenge where we are reflecting on the attributes of the Proverbs 31 Woman and improving our lives in the key areas we identified through the passage.
Today we are exploring how to take care of yourself as a woman of God. Why is it important to know how to take care of yourself holistically? Christian women should be intentional about their spiritual, physical and mental care because it is only when you are full and that can consistently fill others. You'll see from Proverbs 31 this woman poured out to her family, her community, her household, but she was able to do this because she took care of her own wellbeing too. In this letter I'll be sharing my 5 key tips for truly taking care of yourself. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 says "Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies." Here are my 5 KEY tips to honour God with your body and take care of yourself spiritually, mentally and physically as women of God:
Deepen Your Connection with God: Strengthening your bond with God is crucial for spiritual growth. Dedicate regular time to prayer, meditation, and studying Scripture. Foster intimacy with God through worship, reflection, and listening for His guidance in your life. Cultivate your faith by seeking opportunities for spiritual development and nurturing your relationship with the divine.
Allocate Time to Rest Your Mind: Mental rest is vital for overall well-being and spiritual renewal. Carve out moments in your schedule to do things that quiet your mind and alleviate stress. Prioritize activities like reading, spending time in nature, meditating on God's word or engaging in creative endeavours to promote mental peace and spiritual refreshment.
Seek Mental Stimulation: Explore activities that challenge your intellect and encourage personal growth. Delve into hobbies, educational pursuits, or stimulating conversations that expand your mind and enrich your spiritual journey. Whether it's reading, learning new skills, pursuing your goals or engaging in interesting discussions, investing in things that can stimulate your mind will sharpen your cognitive abilities and deepen the quality of your daily life.
Cultivate Healthy Physical Habits: Honor God by caring for the body He has entrusted to you. Maintain a balanced diet, regular exercise routine, and sufficient rest to support overall health and well-being. By establishing healthy physical practices, you demonstrate reverence for your body as a temple of the Holy Spirit and equip yourself to fulfil God's purpose for your life.
Embrace Personal Grooming: While inner beauty holds great value, attending to your appearance can reflect respect for the body as a vessel of God's presence. Practice good hygiene, dress elegantly and flatteringly, and present yourself in a manner that reflects your identity as a beloved child of God. By caring for your appearance, you not only enhance self-confidence but also radiate God's glory outwardly to others.
I pray that as we enter March you will commit yourself to taking care of yourself in these ways.
In the Kingdom Woman Accelerator (KWA) Community we will be doing a 31 day challenge throughout March to track our daily spiritual wins, physical wins and mental wins. Consistently achieving these wins for the next 31 days will build a momentum in you that can transform your whole life. All the details of the challenge will be published on the KWA platform tomorrow. We start March 1st and encourage you to join us!
See you tomorrow for our next letter on relationships! For the woman who wants to form and nurture beautiful relationships in her life, you don't want to miss this one.
With my love,
Tochi
