The reason you can't hear God's voice

This revelation will change your life

The reason you can’t hear God’s voice

Hi Woman of God

as we end the week and soon the month, I want to check in on how you are.

How are you feeling in this season? Have you been looking for direction and answers from God? Have you been feeling a little lost and hungry for more from life?

If so, God laid on my heart this powerful word to share with you today.

He reminded me that when we feel lost and lacking direction, it's often because we can't hear the voice of our Shepherd clearly amid the noise of life. Hearing His voice will always bring peace, direction, certainty, and clarity that nothing else can provide. However, our ability to hear God is directly tied to our prayer life.

Prayer is essential for tuning our hearts to His frequency, allowing us to discern His leading and align ourselves with His will. When we pray, we invite the Holy Spirit to guide us, quiet our restless thoughts, and open our hearts to receive God’s wisdom and comfort. Through prayer, we create a space where God can speak to us, reassure us, and provide the guidance we need to navigate every season of life with confidence and faith.

The Bible encourages us to “pray without ceasing” (1 Thessalonians 5:17), showing us just how crucial a prayer life is. As women of faith, prayer isn’t just an optional part of our day; it is the very foundation that aligns our lives with God’s plan.

But What Happens When We Are Not Praying Regularly?

When we neglect our prayer life, we may notice:

  • Increased Anxiety and Worry: Without prayer, it’s easy to become overwhelmed by life’s demands and uncertainties.

  • Lack of Direction: Without seeking God’s guidance, we may feel lost or uncertain about our next steps.

  • Weakened Faith: As we drift away from communicating with God, our trust in His promises can weaken.

  • Emotional and Spiritual Fatigue: A lack of spiritual renewal can lead to feeling drained, both emotionally and spiritually.

  • Disconnect from God’s Voice: Without prayer, it becomes harder to discern God’s voice amid the noise of daily life.

Do any of these sound familiar?

And What Happens When We Do Pray Regularly?

On the flip side, when we do commit to a life of prayer, we experience:

  • Peace Beyond Understanding: Prayer anchors us in God’s peace, even in the midst of trials (Philippians 4:6-7).

  • Clarity and Purpose: Consistent prayer helps us align with God’s will and make decisions with confidence.

  • Strengthened Faith and Trust: We draw closer to God, and our faith deepens as we see His hand at work in our lives.

  • Renewed Energy and Joy: Prayer refreshes our spirits and fills us with joy and strength for the journey.

  • A Sense of Order: A prayer life helps us keep our priorities in line with God’s desires, bringing order to our daily routines.

It is as though you become a new person!

“So…. How Do I Start Praying More Today?” I’m glad you asked!

If you desire to pray more but don’t know where to start, here are some practical steps:

  1. Set aside a Specific Time: Dedicate a specific time each day for prayer, even if it’s just a few minutes to start.

  2. Create a Prayer List: Write down people, situations, or desires you want to bring to God.

  3. Use Scripture: Pray through Bible verses that resonate with you. This brings God’s Word to life in your prayers.

  4. Keep a Prayer Journal: Write down your prayers and note when they are answered to see God’s faithfulness.

  5. Pray Throughout the Day: Talk to God throughout your day, while driving, cooking, or working. Make it a continuous conversation that brings Him into every detail. “Help me Jesus” is my go-to for everything!

  6. Pray with Others: Pray with someone in your life or join a prayer group. There’s power in praying together (Matthew 18:20). Inside our private women’s community, the Kingdom Woman Accelerator, we host live daily prayer sessions, Monday to Friday. It’s a safe space to pray with others through guided prayer points and experience the power of collective prayer.

If you’re ready to deepen your prayer life and walk with a community of like-minded women, you are invited to join us inside the Kingdom Woman Accelerator community today.
