The Proverbs Challenge - Day 25

CHRISTMAS featuring some Bible Wisdom 🎄❤️

Hi Woman of God

Merry Christmas! I hope you are having an amazing day, eating well and enjoying some time with loved ones.

With all the holiday festivities, I hope you are able to find some time in the Word today. I managed to get mine this evening with a hot cup of cocoa as everyone recovers from the food-coma slump.

Below are my takeaways from today’s study.

SCRIPTURE

Proverbs Chapter 25, verses 2 and 28

OBSERVATION

Verse 2:
"It is the glory of God to conceal a matter, but the glory of kings is to search out a matter."

This verse reveals how God intentionally conceals His wisdom, not to withhold it, but to preserve its value and invite us into the joy of seeking Him. Just as rare treasures like gold are hidden and require effort to uncover, God's truths are reserved for those who are eager and determined to search them out. As believers, we are made kings through Christ (Revelation 1:5-6), and our glory lies in pursuing God’s wisdom for every area of life - health, purpose, deliverance, and more. When we diligently seek, God promises that we will find (Matthew 7:7). This verse also encourages me that God does not withhold answers from those who genuinely pursue Him; instead, He reveals His truth in His timing, for His glory and our good.

Verse 28:
"Whoever has no rule over his own spirit is like a city broken down, without walls."

A person who lacks self-control is vulnerable to harm, much like a defenseless city. This verse emphasises the importance of ruling over our emotions and impulses, which is a fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23). Without self-discipline, we are susceptible to decisions that can lead to regret and missed opportunities for growth. This verse challenges me to lean on God’s strength to continue growing in self-control, ensuring I remain firm and unshaken in life’s trials.

APPLICATION

I will commit to seeking God’s wisdom daily by spending time in His Word and praying about the areas in my life where I desire clarity and growth. I will approach every question or challenge with a determination to search out God’s truth, knowing He will reveal it to me in His timing. In addition, I will ask for the Holy Spirit’s help to cultivate self-control, especially in moments when I feel overwhelmed or tempted to act impulsively. These practices will help me grow in wisdom and live a life of strength and stability.

PRAYER

Heavenly Father, thank You for Your wisdom and truth, which are more valuable than any treasure. Help me to seek You diligently, trusting that You will reveal what I need to know in Your perfect time. Teach me to grow in self-control so I may live a life that reflects Your glory and remain steadfast in all seasons. Thank You for being a God who is generous to those who seek You. In Jesus’ name, Amen. 🩷

See you tomorrow for Day 26 sis and have a beautiful Christmas Day ✨
