The Proverbs Challenge - Day 24

A Christmas Eve Bible Study🎄🎄🎄

Hi Woman of God

Happy Christmas Eve! Christmas Day is nearly here. I spent the day travelling and I am now cosy, settling in for a relaxed evening with my family. I hope this period brings you much joy and rest, and that you are still able to spend time with God amidst the activities, remembering that He is the reason for the season.

Below is my study notes from today sis.

SCRIPTURE

Proverbs Chapter 24, verses 3-4 and 33-34

OBSERVATION

Verses 3-4:
"Through wisdom a house is built, and by understanding it is established; by knowledge the rooms are filled with all precious and pleasant riches."

These verses remind me of the value of pursuing God’s wisdom, understanding, and knowledge in every part of life. They emphasise that the foundation of anything meaningful - whether a family, career, or spiritual life - is built through Godly wisdom. The Bible serves as a roadmap for life, showing us how to know God and live according to His will. Unlike the confusion and instability found in the world, true wisdom is found in God’s Word and revealed by His Spirit. I am deeply grateful that this wisdom is accessible to those who diligently seek it!

Verses 33-34:
"A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest; so shall your poverty come like a prowler, and your need like an armed man."

These verses highlight the consequences of laziness and lack of discipline, showing that neglecting responsibility leads to lack and hardship. Rising early and staying productive is a profound act of self-control. Though it’s not always easy, each time we overcome the pull of the flesh, we reinforce our identity as a person of discipline. Over time, disciplined habits become second nature, and we see the fruit of diligence in our lives. God’s wisdom and strength empower us to overcome the natural weaknesses of our flesh.

APPLICATION

I will stay committed to growing in God’s Word beyond this challenge, seeking His wisdom, knowledge, and understanding for every area of my life. I will continue to prioritise my time with God and ask Him for the grace to choose discipline over laziness. I’ll also strive to maintain a balance, ensuring I rest when necessary while avoiding falling into unproductive habits.

PRAYER

Father, thank You for Your wisdom, understanding, and knowledge. Let Your Word continue to be a lamp to my feet and a guide for my life. Help me and my sisters to live diligently and make wise use of every day You give us. Teach us to balance work and rest in a way that honors You. In Jesus’ name, Amen. 🩷

See you tomorrow for Day 25 sis (Christmas Day - eeeekkk!) ✨

With my love
