The Proverbs Challenge: We Start Tomorrow!
What you need to know before we start
Hi Woman of God
The Proverbs Challenge begins tomorrow, December 1st! 🎉
31 Chapters in the Book of Proverbs for 31 Days in December — a chapter a day!
We must end the year in wisdom to set the stage for 2025 to be a year of transformation and breakthrough.
When we did this challenge for the first time together in January so many women experienced incredible testimonies, and this December, while we enjoy the season’s festivities, let’s keep our hearts centered on Jesus, the reason for the season, and allow His wisdom to guide us into the new year.
Here’s how the challenge will work:
Schedule:
Each day, you will read the chapter of Proverbs corresponding to the day of the month. Allocate a specific time each day to meet with God: Bible and notebook in hand - this is your sacred time with Him.
December 1st: Proverbs 1
December 2nd: Proverbs 2
December 3rd: Proverbs 3
...and so on, finishing with Proverbs 31 on December 31st.
Method: S.O.A.P.
We’ll use the S.O.A.P. method, which is simple yet deeply impactful for both new and experienced Bible readers:
S - Scripture
Write out the verse(s) that stand out to you from the day’s chapter.O - Observation
Reflect on what the Scripture says and its meaning.A - Application
Write down how you will apply the Scripture to your life.P - Prayer
Conclude by writing a prayer inspired by the Scripture and your reflection.
If you’re unfamiliar with the S.O.A.P. method, there are helpful YouTube tutorials to guide you. Don’t worry - I’ll also send daily emails sharing my reflections and how I applied the method to the day’s chapter.
Daily Routine:
Pray: Begin by asking the Holy Spirit to guide your reading and understanding.
Read: Read the full chapter, highlighting verses that resonate with you.
Select: Choose the verse(s) you want to study in more depth.
S.O.A.P.: Follow the steps above to study the Scripture.
Check Your Email: Read my daily email for additional insights and encouragement.

P.S. Let me encourage you quickly. This month, I went to the gym every single day as part of our November discipline challenge. Let me tell you — there were days when I just couldn’t be bothered to leave my house. But I did, because I had made a decision to crucify my flesh and prioritise my goals. Interestingly, some of those “I-don’t-feel-like-it” sessions turned out to be the best ones.
I share this to say: there will be days in December when you don’t feel like reading or studying the chapter for the day. Push through! Treat this as an opportunity to gain daily victories over your flesh. Even if it’s just 15 minutes, stay consistent. At the end of the month, you’ll look back so grateful that you persevered, and you’ll be stepping into 2025 with a sense of triumph, clarity, faith and confidence.
I’m right here with you - we can do this! See you tomorrow. ❤️
